These gears are great for making your own gear boxes or drive trains! These gears fit snugly (but turn freely) on the 1/8" round axles sold elsewhere on this site (except for the pinion and worm gear noted below.) However, you could use common super glue to secure these gears to the aforementioned axles if you wanted to. These gears are made of strong, hard Polyurethane. A firm product that stays true unlike Polyethylene. They can be drilled, sawed, and machined. They will not crack when machined like ABS does. They are not affected by harsh chemicals such as oil and gasoline. They will even stand up to Acetone for a short time. They can be glued with most common epoxies and bonders. They can be painted without any special preparation too! Some gears may require slight deburring; and this can be accomplished quite easily with an Xacto knife.
