All Micro Structure kits are produced from either photo etched brass or stainless steel. Every kit contains an immense amount of detail. Being produced from metal gives these kits tremendous longevity and stability. While other materials may degrade or become distorted over time, a photo etched kit will last through the years - you might call them archival. Kits that contain porch posts are individually turned on swiss screw machines for crisp, clean detail. All kits are built up in layers to produce a true 3 dimensional shape.
